Kāya Sādhanā or the path of the body, is the path of earthly experience aimed at elevating consciousness
Kāya in Sanskrit refers to the body, or more precisely, to the collection of « bodies » that make us up, according to the Indian view. This concept transcends the limited notion of the physical body and includes the psychic body, the emotional body, the energetic body, the causal body… Kāya also means « dimension » including the dimension of existence itself. This parallels the anthroposophical concept of the human being in its various components: the physical body, the etheric body, the astral body and the I (Self).
Sādhanā is the path one chooses to carve out through discipline, a living and free discipline aimed at Self-realization. Sādhanā, as a spiritual practice, is a commitment of one's whole Being with perseverance and Joy.
